They told us a "good job" was the safe path.
Unpopular opinion....
Good Morning, My Darling,
They told us a "good job" was the safe path.
Salary.
Structure.
Someone else's plan.
But here's the thing they didn’t tell you:
👉 Companies don’t love you back.
👉 “Security” isn’t real if it’s not yours.
👉 At any moment — redundant, replaced, reshuffled.
And suddenly your whole life pivots on a decision you didn’t make.
That’s not safety.
That’s submission.
I used to believe the scary part was starting your own business.
Turns out the scarier thing is outsourcing your future to someone else's spreadsheet.
Look, entrepreneurship is uncertain.
But at least the uncertainty belongs to me.
✨ I decide who I work with
✨ I decide how I earn.
✨ I decide when to walk away.
That’s not chaos — that’s control.
That’s not risky — that’s radical self-trust.
Because here’s the truth no one told us growing up:
Working for someone else is not safer it’s just more socially accepted.
And I'd rather be misunderstood than miserable.
Running a business isn’t always easy.
But it’s mine.
And I’ll choose “mine” over “maybe they’ll keep me”
every f*cking time.
Freedom is not a bonus.
It’s the baseline.
And if I had to start over tomorrow I’d do it barefoot, messy, scared, but still choosing myself.
Because that’s the kind of safety that doesn’t disappear when the market dips.
It lives inside you.
🌊
If you’re waiting for a sign this is it.
Build for you.
Start small, start messy but really think about it.
