The way you wake up
Could change your entire day.

Lately, I’ve been waking up differently.
Not rushing.
Not reaching for Instagram.
Not diving headfirst into the to-do list.
Just… breath first.
Stillness first.
Presence first.
Most mornings, before I take my phone off aeroplane mode, I open Insight Timer and find a meditation by Jason McGrath (he’s my current obsession — soft voice, deep soul presence).
I close my eyes.
I breathe.
I come back to myself.
Because here’s the wild thing no one talks about…
When we wake up, we’re still in that liminal dream state. The half-in, half-out energy where our subconscious is wide open.
Maybe you dreamed about an ex.
Maybe you woke up with dread in your chest.
Maybe your body is holding fear from the night before.
And yet… we just carry on.
Get up. Brush teeth. Make coffee. Check WhatsApp.
We move through the day from that same energy, without even realising it.
But you don’t have to live on autopilot.
You can reset the moment you wake.
You can choose how you want to meet the day.
Ten sacred minutes.
That’s all it takes.
To sit with your breath.
To meet yourself in stillness.
To decide — this is how I want to show up in the world today.
Every time I do it, I notice the shift.
I don’t just act like the woman I want to be — I am her.
I speak slower.
I respond softer.
I lead from alignment, not anxiety.
And on the days I don’t meditate?
I can feel it. My energy’s reactive. My mind’s scattered. I’m in the world but not of myself.
So here’s your invitation:
